Absentmindedness in the middle-aged….
Monday, April 6th, 2009Hey…look….the old git has remembered to do an update…wonder what he’ll say…
So….here I am….another year older…not necessarily wiser, but all in all things aren’t too bad at the moment..Pompey seem to be striving to move out of the relegation zone, whilst Pagham are doing their best under a new manager. England managed to beat Slovakia convincingly in a friendly & followed that up with a win against the Ukraine…still looking promising under Capello…
And…what else…I’ve been spending a lot of time developing my Second Life . Didn’t think I’d take to a MMO like it, but it’s good fun, and managed to meet some people who lead interesting lives in “RL” also…terrible time-waster….but hey, it’s all escapism. Hello to everyone I know in SL….including “Bliss”…*wink*
R-Type Generations on my ‘360 turned out to be not quite what it should have been…superb fun…for a short while….criminally, the developers included an “infinite lives” option, which completely ruins the point of the game…I finished of the first part of the game in half an hour using this…not great value for £6.80….still, it’s good for a quick blast, and stays faithful to the original.
I’ve added a new blog to my “blog-roll”….a very perceptive lady, hailing from the USA who is, if it’s possible, an even more entertaining read than my blog ! (only kidding ! *smile*).
With the footy winding down now toward the end of the season, thoughts turn to other things…the beach does look good in the summer, but there’s always plenty to do round here…the veg garden, furniture that needs varnishing….can’t think of a better way to spend a day working like that….hot sun on my back, the sound of leather against willow on the radio, a beer waiting, and a real sense of acheivement when the job is done….
coming over all philosophical now…time for a sit down with a good book and a mug of decent coffee…
