Sol lifts the cup for Pompey !

PLAY UP POMPEY
Well…so…there I was on the train to London, clutching my souvenir match programme and wearing my commemorative scarf not knowing just what the day would hold….some seven hours later I was on the way home having had a completely amazing day….well done to Harry Redknapp, and all the Portsmouth FC players. You did our City proud, and I’m thrilled to bits to have been there.

A big shout out to…(1) The vendors of the flags outside the ground…selling for £5 what was available for free tucked next to your seat in the Stadium…(2) The London branch of the Portsmouth Supporters Club (special mentions to Dan and Pompey Nev) for making a Wembley “newbie” so welcome…(3) Arsene Wenger for letting us have Lassana Diarra for a measly £5 Million…one of the best players I’ve seen in a Pompey shirt….(4) The people on the train home who were unintentionally hilarious in their views on Pompey players of old…

Me, Wembley Way 2008

And finally in the “sports” section…does anyone know how I can edit MVI files ? Is it just using Windows Movie Maker…I’ve got some videos from Wembley that I’d like to edit before posting on here…

LOL Cats

Sooty and Kitty...feline felons !
As promised, pictures of the two newest additions to Castle Dunworking…Sooty and Kitty (look, I didn’t choose the names, ok !) are both growing into fine looking felines…still only 10 weeks old, it won’t be long before they’re allowed outside…and then I can start my revenge on those pesky pigeons…mwahaha ! More pictures of these two as they grow older…

Boris Johnson, Mayor of London
Why ? Just Why ?! Did you vote for him ? And again with the “Why ?!”

Liverpool FC
Just to wind up a regular reader…two words sum up Liverpool’s season for me…“oh” and“dear”

A month is a long time in…

Work

I’ve now been in the new job for a couple of weeks…no time to get bored…and well, only just enough time to drink the endless mugs of tea we have…very, very busy….very, very happy..big shout out to all the new people I work with….

and another big shout out to all those at my old workplace…a decent send off a couple of Fridays ago ensured I would leave with good memories of a decent bunch of people…and, contrary to popular rumour I wasn’t drunk…oh no…I was just overcome by the emotion of it all, which made me slurr my words a little…

Rest
With this weekend being a bank holiday, and with Pagham FC having finished their season with a draw at home to Hailsham last weekend, I can look forward to a full summer of doing just what I want, when I want. No worries about the new football programme re-design, nor re-designing the Pagham FC website…nothing….so…actually, I’m at a bit of a loose end in a way…

and Play
…except that I have the F A Cup Final to look forward to on May 17th. I’ve got my ticket winging it’s way to me, and I am very much looking forward to soaking up the atmosphere at the new Wembley Stadium together with some Portsmouth FC supporting mates of mine.

You’ll also notice a new thing over there that has my new X-Box Live tag on it. With all this free time, and an X-Box 360 which is behaving itself at the moment, I thought it a good time to get on-line with it. Dead easy to set up on my wireless router, and I’m looking forward to beating (or being beaten by !) one or more of the visitors to this weblog.

One thing that has passed me by for the moment is GTA IV. It is indeed a stupendous gaming acheivement, but just a little too “in depth” for me. I need my gaming a little more immediate just now. Hence the reason that Ikaruga is such a hit in the Dunworking house-hold. As Racheal well knows, it was this game that prompted me to offer her the earth so that she would give me her old Sega Dreamcast just so’s I could play this old-skool “Shmup” masterpiece. And now I have it on the ‘360. Superb…

And…finally…we have a new kitten in the house…picture tomorrow so all the ladies can go coo over her…
