Ghosts in the machine
Saturday, April 28th, 2007This one’s for MJH….
Down to a local hostelry last night for a “last hurrah” for the colleagues I used to work with. The company concerned has gone massive changes since I left, and it’s now come to the end of it’s presence in our town. ‘Twas excellent to catch up with people (some of whom I’d not seen in years). Surprising to see how little people had changed. There was a lot of reminiscing about what had happened over the years - some of us had worked for the company concerned for at least 15 years. Of course I’d left some two years ago to pastures new, but even so I held good memories of friends I’d left behind there. Big shout outs to the following;
“Cricket Mike” - Wot no Tone the Legend ?!
“MJH the IT Guru” - Yes I know things need changing round here - all in good time, mate!
“Little Clare” - Pleased to see the “Mummy Monster” looking well and happy.
“Northern Dawn” - it’s Ok, I’ve stopped grinning now. You’re safe.
“Gazza D” - Yet another Man Yoo fan living in shouting distance of Fratton Park. Cummon the Chelsea !!
“The CRM Laydeez” - good to catch up with you all.
“Pagham lose” shock!
After taking Midhurst apart in midweek, Pagham lost at home today against MIle Oak. Still not entirely sure how we lost - dominated the whole of the second half. Just couldn’t put the ball in the net. Ho hum. Roll on next season in Sussex County Division 1! Looking forward to a summer away from doing the programme. This week’s 40 page championship souvenir programme was a ‘mare to put together.
