Not much to write today…took ages to get back from East Grinstead…but…but…Pagham won away from home again…2-1, and now joint top of Sussex County Division 2. Sidlesham away on Monday morning in a local derby.

So…Portsmouth finished 0-0 against Man City (and Ben Thatcher - you’re nothing but a thug on the pitch - and should get a lengthy ban for that awful elbow on Pedro Mendes) And we’re still unbeaten this season.
Clan Wimble and me are off to East Grinstead tomorrow (and if anyone saw the Pagham FC picture in the Observer this week, I’ve got the original picture, and can only assume the Observer’s colour printing process is S**t ! ) and then we’re away to Sidlesham on MOnday morning. With both games being away from home it means very, very little work for me…hurrah !
I’ve consciously had a “me time” week this week, and thorougly enjoyed my evenings. I’ve still got things I need to do, but as I’ve recharged my batteries, it’s meant I can do them that much quicker. I’ve found a stonking booking calendar for the secret site I’m working on, so that should all be put together this weekend as well.
Hmmm….what else…”Linda from Issix” and me are off to the flicks again soon…trying to decide what to see…I want to see “A Scanner Darkly”, or “Pirates of the Carribbean 2″ or “Snakes on a Plane”…she doesn’t…well, she might want to see “Snakes on a plane”, but otherwise she’s not interested in what she calls “Grrr films”.
Gave Alison a cutting from the paper about a plant called “rue” which she grows in her garden - can cause bad rashes apparently…
Linda from Issix bought in a bucket of jelly sweets…which didn’t seem to last that long…bit daft leaving them where we could all get at them I suppose !
Bank holiday this weekend and…the weather looks ok. Bit of a change, but it does mean we’ll be inundated with holiday makers. Fairly glad I’m away from the coast for most of Saturday really. Sunday looks like a good day to go blackberrying - not least because Dawn the landlady is a dab hand at apple and blackberry crumble !
As we’re having a shiny new ADSL package at work it got me thinking about my own ISP deal…I pay for a 1Mb connection, with unlimited usage…I could go higher, but on most of them there’s a usage cap. Where I am isn’t that near the local exchange, and all our telephone lines are buried under the road (bit like for cable TV), both of which can affect the contention of the broadband lines. So…I could pay extra for a faster line, but it might end up being slower than what I pay for anyway, and I definitely need the unlimited usage. Hmmm…I feel a poll coming up about this perhaps….slow line and unlimited usage or fast line and download caps ?
The spam problem seems to have disappeared - when I last checked, the new shoutbox had stopped nearly 500 spam attempts….mwahahaha! Or something. Do rather like this weblog, and will be adding a couple of new bits over the weekend I expect - something like on the old one where I could say what book I was currently reading, that sort of thing.
Received communication from Skeddy that his website hadn’t been nicked, simply going an overhaul….look forward to it when it’s moved to the new server. And as for my big-end, it’s plenty big enough thankyouverymuch, and I’ll not be drilling holes in it, or anything else on my car just to make it noisy ! Don’t want the noise to drown out my shiny new JVC ICE system do I ?
